About the author

The body of Christ is unique. Only the grace of God could gather together such a diverse collection
of people and make them one. One of the members of this body is Louie Hui. In this compelling
book he shares his story of salvation and new life in Christ. Once an idol worshipper he is now "in
Christ". Louie tells of his fear and struggle for peace while worshipping idols. When he finally
realized the idols didn't really love him he came to the end of himself, his eyes were opened and
his soul set free through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Trusting in the love and salvation of Christ
has given him a new life with purpose and joy.

Louie was born in Hong Kong. He married his lovely wife, Carmen and they had a daughter, Vivien.
They moved to Canada in 1991. Shortly after this move Louie was wonderfully saved. Louie, an
elementary school dropout, was led by the Lord to return to school and became a Canadian
professional accountant. He faithfully attends a Bible believing church where he serves the Lord
wholeheartedly. I trust you will be encouraged by reading of his new life in Christ and feel his
great desire to see others saved and growing in their Christian faith.

Introduction

Lost but found is exactly what I had experienced in my life. Like the ship in the sea without
a navigator, it sailed but was lost. Before I was saved and became a Christian, likewise my
life was lost. I directed my life, turning here and there, without direction and destination;
I was lost because I did not have the “Navigator”. Though I worship many idols/gods, I had no
peace in my heart and I feared death a lot. I was greedy and addicted to gambling. My temper
was terrible; I failed in school and dropped out in grade 4. In addition, I felt pain in my
heart, stress, anxiety, disappointment, loneliness, anger, shame, helplessness, guilt,
foolish, naïve, regret and fear. I almost landed in jail as a lost soul from living a lost life.

Praise the Lord. I was found by the wonderful and gracious Lord Jesus Christ. He became the
Navigator in my life. I repented and believed in Jesus and I was saved and became a Christian.
From the moment that I was saved, my life made a 180-degree turn.

Not only has He changed me from:

an idol worshipper who lacked any peace to a God believer who has abounding peace within;

from someone who was so afraid of death to someone who can proclaim victory unto death;

from someone who was a gambling addict to someone who was set free from the bondage of sin;

from someone who had a wild and uncontrolled temper to someone who has self-control

God has also blessed me with wisdom and knowledge: I was a grade 4 drop-out, but by the grace of
the Lord Jesus Christ, I became a Canadian professional accountant.

In addition, I no longer have pain in my heart, stress, anxiety, disappointment, loneliness, anger,
shame, helplessness, guilt, foolishness, naivety, regret, or fear. I am actually enjoying my
redeemed life everyday, and I know where I am going and how to get there. Since the Lord Jesus
Christ is my Navigator, I will never ever be lost again!

Dear reader, I would like to share my “lost but found” secret to you in this booklet. Please read
